Course Description

Welcome to Cultural Anthropology!

This course explores the basic concepts of anthropology through a comparative approach to human society and culture focusing on various cultural institutions such as religion, economics, family, kinship, art, and politics.



    What is anthropology?

    Anthropology is the study of the cultural, physical, and social developments of humans.  Within anthropology there are several subfields including physical anthropology, cultural anthropology, archaeology, and linguistics.
