Gateway Center Policies

Log In Upon Arrival! You must always log in upon entering the Gateway Center to see a tutor or utilize any resource, no matter how quick you might intend your visit to be. Ask a Gateway Center staff member for assistance if needed.

Be Prepared for Your Appointment!Bring your classroom materials with you, especially any early drafts or description of the assignment for which you want support. Consider whether you have specific questions to be sure you can get exactly the support you need. If you need documentation for your professor, be sure to bring it with you or know what it is. Finally, bring your patience and positive attitude; tutoring is a process and you are welcome to return for more support!

Think You Might Miss an Appointment? If you are more than 15 minutes late to a 50-minute appointment, you will be considered a “no-show.” If you miss three scheduled appointments, you will not be able to make another appointment using TutorTrac until you speak with a Gateway Center administrator.

Need to Cancel an Appointment?Log in to http://tutortrac.pccc.edu using your Portal Username and Password. Your scheduled appointment is listed on the first page. Click the small X next to the scheduled appointment and follow the on-screen instructions. Appointments must be canceled sooner than one hour before its scheduled time.

Tell Us How We've Done! After visiting with us (preferrably before you leave), we invite you to complete the Gateway Center Exit Survey. Your responses are completely anonymous and will help us continue to understand PCCC student needs. Look for the "Exit Survey" tab at the top of this LibGuide now!
