    Provides alternative approach to news literacy and web page evaluation. Concentration on exploring content bias on the web.
    Check for previous work: Look around to see if someone else has already fact-checked the claim or provided a synthesis of research.
    Go upstream to the source: Go “upstream” to the source of the claim. Most web content is not original. Get to the original source to understand the trustworthiness of the information.
    -Read laterally- what other people say about the source
    -Find the original source
    -Use the web to corroborate
    - Circle back. Use fact-checking sites

What about Wikipedia?

Researching with Wikipedia - The Wikipedia web site gives guidance on when and how to use (or not use) their web site in a college paper. (Hint: Wikipedia articles are written anonymously, so no one is standing behind the information)
