The EN 101 Libguide offers information and resources for all instructors and students of Passaic County Community College.  Since the course's focus is on the stages of the writing process, the libguide shares reflection and peer editing questions to help students learn how to self-evaluate and self-edit their own work.  Through the guidance of much self-reflection and an instructor's help, students will produce a successful portfolio of work by the end of each semester.

In addition, EN 101 includes a formal MLA research paper.  Through a scaffolding approach used throughout the semester, students will be taught how to formulate a thesis and defend their opinion through outside resources.  Two other libguides will help in this process.  Please refer to the following which can be found on the English Department libguide general page:   "Citing Your Sources" and "EN 101: Information Literacy Guide for Research Papers."
